Honestly I respect the design vision. The box art and game cards perfectly the style of meme that spread acrosss the internet in the 2000s. A style that was woefully out of date when this game was first released.
Which honestly? I respect the choice. A meme board game will always be “cringe.” Creating a static physical game soley based off notoriously fast-changing internet trends will always lead to the game releasing once the meme on the internet is “dead”— on top of designing the game itself, it takes time to actually publish and release a finished game.
Meme games are doomed to be out of date from the get-go. So embrace it! Make the game based on a meme format that’s been dead from the start.
